About the photographer: Carl Gasowski began exploring photography in the fall of 2002 during his course work at the University of New Hampshire. With a major in Environmental Affairs and a minor in Media/Communications, his course work ranged from ecologically based classes to videography and photography. Currently he teaches science and audio production at Landmark School in Prides Crossing, MA. Throughout his life art, music, technology and the wilderness have continuously intertwined. His photography depicts remote and constantly changing landscapes in a diversity of ecosystems. The aim of each image is to press the viewer toward a moment of self-reflection or towards recognition of the natural processes displayed.
